week 13 last blog

So the 20 percent project is finally over and the presentation was a complete success. So far I've only received positive feedback from my friends and classmates so I'm happy that went well. I promised a lot of things in the beginning of the year that i failed to get done due to financial issues, and tons of technical difficulties. When i first started the power point I was talking about why i failed and how i should have done it better job. I was already half way done with the making the presentation, when my mom walked in and asked me to practice presenting in front of her. When i opened the page about why i failed the project, my mom immediately stopped me and told me to erase everything and start over. She told me that no matter how obvious the negative part looks, you don't highlight it or talk about it. You only highlight the good parts and let the audience figure out what you did wrong. That was the best advice I ever heard, so i got to work on making my project sound awesome. Thankfully my mom was there to help me, and told what to say to make me sound successful. Although i'm not a complete success, i did get a lot of things done. I finally downloaded photoshop and got myself a drawing tablet.
Learning photoshop was not easy, especially in the little time that i had but i got to work and made things happen. PROJECT MISH is still happening and i will continue to chase the dream. I have all the support i need to make it happen. My next plan is to find a way to make money for the T-shirts and start from there.

I'm really happy to say that things for project mish are turning out to be pretty good. I finally was able to download Photoshop into my home computer. Which a huge thing for me because now i dont have to so dependent on my friend Albert to do all the tech work, which is basically the whole project. I'm still trying to figure out all the kinks and gadgets but i learning quick. I also recently improved the orignal company logo.

 its just a simple character change, but this astronaut skater is going to be PROJECT MISH's trade mark. Believe me people, this business is going to be legendary, i can promise that.
I'm disappointed for not putting the effort i though i would into this project, but that's okay because at this point i'm not after the grade... i'm after the dream. I'm looking at the big picture of my company, and all i can say about is i see bright things in the future. For now thought I need to figure out how i'm going to present without much to present. Should be a piece of cake .

I think i have prolonged this project long enough, so i am going to start working on it. What i have been doing is skating a lot but i haven't been filming. I been trying to start making my own designs for t-shirts and boards but i couldnt figure out the program. The system is called adobe, and you can basically do everything from creating videos and photoshop projects to creating video games. My only problem is that i have no idea how to function it and make it work. My friends is pretty good at using the program but he always flakes when i try to ask him for help. On top of that i've been pretty busy so i never get around to it.
It safe to say the project was a fail, but the goal is still there. I couldn't really get it started considering my financial issue. Plus i didn't work on getting followers on our instagram cause i never posted anything. Even though i failed to expand the company this year, I'm still going to continue to work on this project even though out college. this is something i truly want and i willing to invest and make it happen. On the bright side, I got much better at skateboarding and committing tricks. As for the project, i need to start coming up with some good topics on what i will be saying in front of the class. Mr Lee just informed us that we will be presenting for 5 minutes, so i better start getting to work.
what i could and will do is i will make 1 shirt, so at least i have one product on the market. the world will know about Project Mish. A great thing about today's society is skateboarding is only getting bigger and bigger. I'm excited for the future of Project Mish.

We are finally starting our character designs. I'm excited to start making our designs for our T-shirts. My friend Albert is even going to help download his design software, so i could make and design right from home. We've had a couple meetings these past weeks about how week could get fans and support from our community. We talked about making posters and creating stickers and stick them everywhere so people at least start getting familiar with the name PROJECT MISH. My close friend who had moved to mexico just returned. He's pretty well connected with the skater community and he happy to help.
 We also made some updates in my theme we want to portray. We been thinking about it for a while and we came up with an awesome idea. Our first name for the company was Mission skate boards, but sadly there is already a Mission skateboards, so instead we changed the name to PROJECT MISH instead. Basically we're still sticking with the mission format. My friends noticed I liked to draw a lot of monster like creatures as characters. You could even say the characters looked even alien-ish. Then it hit me, I said in quote "the theme should be 'Mission to Mars'".
Just picture aliens dressed like skaters, or a Guy in a astronaut suit shredding a half pipe. Honestly the creativity for this theme is endless in my head. We're still going to keep the Cali swag but mix it up with space just to make things interesting. I thought I'd keep the original Logo but just give the skater a Astronaut Helmet.



 I Know the design kind of sucks but it was our very first time we ever created something on computer. We still have a lot to learn. We will get better i promise.

week #7

My good friends, also known as my business partner Albert, just informed me that he downloaded a lot of great programs and his computer to help make our Project Mish designs. He mentioned Photoshop and other great design programs and website starters. So my designs will very soon be being made digitally. I still excited to the out come of my Business. I tempted to make some changes on the name. I personally love the name PROJECT MISH, but i now and then get bad feed back about the name not being catchy or interesting. It's not a definite decision, but i am giving it some thought. The reason why i want to keep MISH is because it an abbreviation for my original skateboard brand idea, MISSION. Reason why i didn't stick it mission was because there is already a MISSION skateboard shop up in the bay area. They actually have some pretty cool designs and boards, so there was no competition there. I was honestly pretty disappointed when i found out because i had that name in plan for a while. Thats what gives the name such meaning to it.
our instagram is still up, I try to go out as often as possible and shot some pictures, but with my busy schedule its hard to find time and energy. Check it at as soon as you guys can, its Skate_projectmish. So lately I've been sketching characters and board designs, im going for the socal theme. Feel free to leave some feed back or tips for helping me start my company in the comments.
The one thing i constantly forget is that i need to find a way to make money to purchase the first shipment of T-shirts. I kind of put the grip tape idea to the side and just skipped straight to the T-shirts sales.

Last weekend i didn't get much work done with project mish. I have been skating a lot and practicing new tricks. I talked to my friends and they're still on board and willing to help to that's good news. I been sketching different characters and designs. I'll post them on our instagram, so please feel free to check them out and leave feed back in the comments. I need to find a way to get a lot of followers.

The only reason i haven't made any products was because i want to make sure people will like my ideas and support my business dream. Honestly i haven't worked on Project Mish at all. On top of all the designing and pictures, I still need to find a way to make money to invest.
Mr. Lee just gave me a great idea for my T-shirt start. I will start with making 15 shirts and selling them, to classmates and friends. With that money, i could pay for more shirts and then start to sell beanies. This is going help expose my company brand locally, then expanding the name will be easier because i'll have my supports. During all this i'm going to start making skate films and constanly up loading pictures on my IG. I think it would also be a good idea make a facebook account for Project Mish. I will make a youtube accout as well. I'm going to make PM to be found everywhere.

I have been brainwashing and drawing a lot for my board designs. I have a lot of great designs and sketches so im excited to start making shirts or boards. I currently looking for a design software or program where i could make my designs on computer. i could always sent the pictures to my cousin to make them for me. She helped me make the logo for project mish. so i always have her to help me, but she is just as busy as i am so i cant always relie on her. I'd like to design them myself and add my own touchs or colors.
before i start sell anything i need to get the word out first or get some web fame. Im just going continue to skate and taking pictures and upload. Follow my instagram. skate_projectmish
